UPDATE 7:34 am: The airport reports that Terminal 1’s systems are back to ‘normal’.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Another tech outage at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International is causing trouble for travelers Saturday morning.

Airport officials say a computer issue has slowed or stopped security and other functions at Terminal 1. This is the terminal for Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines. It’s unclear at this time how many Southwest Airlines flights will be affected. The airline had just returned to normal operations at the airport.

If you’re heading to FLL, check with your airline. You may be late throughout the day.

This is the second major IT outage at FLL in the past few months. It is unclear why the airport is suffering from technical problems.
