Atlantic Sun’s primary receiver signs with Texas Tech with two years left on qualification

Lubbock, Texas – head coach at Texas Tech University after signing for the fastest class in college football a little over a week ago Joey McGuire On Thursday night, we added Elite Speed through the transfer portal of wide receiver Dre McCrae, who has an athletic scholarship deal with the Red Raiders.
McRae, the Atlantic Sun Conference’s receiving and receiving yards leader last year, is eligible for two more seasons with the Red Raiders and will reunite with offensive analysts. Kirk Bryant and tight end coach Josh Cochranecoached him in 2021 at Austin Pea.

McCrae has caught 129 passes for 1,888 yards and scored 17 touchdowns over the past two seasons, earning First Team All-ASUN honors this fall. McCrae is his two-time winner of the All He Conference after Austin Pea was still a member of the Ohio Valley He was named to the first team in 2021. He was also an All-Newcomer Team winner in 2021 as a true freshman.
The Tallahassee, Florida native led the Governors in receiving, receiving yards, utility yards and receiving touchdowns every two seasons. He tallied 882 yards in his 53 receptions, and in his freshman year alone he tallied eight touchdowns, and in 11 games he achieved 1,030 yards.
McCrae continued his strong sophomore campaign, leading Austin Pea to a 7–4 record with 76 total catches for 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns. He also added 12 carries for 54 yards and 3 kick returns for 54 yards as a sophomore. A dynamic returner, McCrae, as a true freshman, brought the only punt of his career his return into the end his zone.
McCrae signed Austin Pea, a graduate of the North Florida Christian School in the Florida Panhandle. In addition to his success in football, McCray is like many of his other Texas tech signers with his 100m record low of 10.3 seconds.
