
PITTSBURGH — Thousands are expected to flock downtown this weekend in 2023, and several restaurants are looking forward to big turnouts.

The pandemic has become a challenge for many restaurants due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“It was a struggle. A lot of companies didn’t succeed, so I did the best I could and I succeeded,” said Semplice.
This will be the first New Year’s celebration in over two years when things return to normal. Gauchos next door said they’re already back in full swing this holiday season.
“We are averaging 350 covers per night this week, back to our pre-pandemic numbers. .
The Gauchos are also heavily booked for Friday nights, and even for big parties.
“This will determine our success this year. For a small business like this, finishing on a high note is very important,” says Peet. “It’s really nice to see the crowds coming back downtown, going to the shows and really enjoying what the city has to offer.”
Akahige is We are accepting walk-ins this weekend, as well as Gaucho on Friday night.
