The City of Wallkill – Garnet Health’s Board of Directors has appointed Jerry Dunlavey, current Vice President of Operations for Garnet Health and Chief Operating Officer of Garnet Health Medical Center (Catskills), to Garnet Health and Garnet Health Medical Center. appointed interim president and CEO of , effective December 30, 2022.
Former CEO Alfred Pilon Jr. was fired by the board after the first year of his three-year deal, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Dunlavey brings nearly 25 years of healthcare leadership to this role. He joined Garnet Health in November 2001 as vice president of clinical program development and operations for the system, seven senior management positions where he is responsible for developing ACGME-accredited residency programs, and founder of Garnet Health Doctors. In June 2022, Dunlavey was appointed Vice President of Operations for Garnet Health and Chief Operating Officer for Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills.

Dunlavey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Iona University, New Rochelle. She also holds a degree in chiropractic medicine from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
