Stan Lee Documentary Coming To Disney+ In 2023, Marvel Announces 100th Birthday


Marvel Entertainment tweeted a 25-second video on Wednesday, confirming that a Stan Lee documentary will be released on Disney+ in 2023. The announcement coincides with the 100th birthday of the late cartoonist.

A newly released video gives a glimpse of some of Stan Lee’s minor roles and guest appearances in the film. It will be closed.

Working with writers and artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Lee is best known for creating popular characters such as Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and The Avengers. After retiring from Marvel in the 1990s, Lee remained involved with the company by making cameo appearances and serving as an executive producer on Marvel films.

An event celebrating Lee’s 100th birthday was launched earlier this month through Genius Brands International. Genius Brands International has released a new online store featuring his three exclusive collections for the Lee brand. The entertainment company owns the rights to the name, voice, likeness, signature, and intellectual property licenses associated with Lee and has signed on to co-produce the “Stan Lee” documentary.
