
Houghton, Michigan – Michigan Tech returned to play this week after a four-game winning streak before the holiday break against No. 2 members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Ashland and Walsh.
The Huskies (10-2, 3-1) are tied for second on the GLIAC standings against the undefeated Eagles (12-0, 6-0). Ashland is his second ranked opponent in the MTU national rankings this winter. Ashland, a former GLIAC member school, won the Huskies’ memorial in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Semifinals in Springfield, Illinois after Michigan Tech defeated the Eagles in the conference tournament championship two weeks ago.
