Texans suffer Texas-sized losses
The Texans led 23-17 heading into the fourth quarter. After that, Houston, who was leading 23-20, the Cowboys looked to be in good shape after a string of bad plays by Dallas deep in his territory.
On a first down from the Dallas 13, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was sacked and fumbled, but the Boys recovered from a 10-yard loss.
On the next play, Prescott threw an interception to Tremon Smith and the Texans took over at the Dallas 4.
But after losing two straight plays, sandwiched between short completions, Houston finished fourth and third.
The Texans ran out for it, giving the Cowboys the ball at their own 2-yard line with 3:20 left.
After 11 plays, Ezekiel Elliott scored on a 2-yard run to give Dallas a 27–23 lead. It was the longest drive Dallas led in the fourth quarter since a 98-yard drive against the Eagles in 2017.
The final blow for bettors in this game: Elliott’s TD was bad news for under bettors as the Over/Under (O/U) was 43.5 points.

Buffalo supporters (-9.5) were pretty confident as the Bills led the New York Jets 20-7. Midway through the fourth quarter, however, Buffalo failed to pick up a first down and was punted, but the kick was blocked and out of bounds in the endzone for safety, making it 20-9. I got
Still, Buffalo covered, and the Jets were playing back-up quarterback Mike White, who deserves a medal after taking this hit.
Trailing 20-9, the Jets played for 4th and 1st from the Buffalo 9-yard line. They were faced with the decision of whether to go for goal or kick a field goal. If New York doesn’t get a first down, the Bills will cover.
The Jets chose to kick a 26-yard FG with 1:18 left to go 20-12 and ruin bettors’ bets on Buffalo, who put up 9.5 points.
Q4 cost bettors
With 52 combined O/U points in the Vikings-Lions game, Detroit led 21-13 early in the fourth quarter.
However, the team combined two touchdowns and three field goals in their next five possessions.
The final scores were 34 for the Lions and 23 for the Vikings.
backup quarterback fight
The Baltimore Ravens were a two-point underdog against the Pittsburgh Steelers as star quarterback Lamar Jackson was sidelined with a knee injury.
Ravens backup QB Tyler Huntley went into concussion protocol in the second half and was replaced by undrafted rookie free agent Anthony Brown.
The Steelers played backup QB Mitch Trubisky after starter Kenny Pickett suffered a concussion in the first half.
Steelers backers were haunted by Trubisky’s performance of throwing three interceptions, all of which went into the red zone.
Trubisky threw a TD pass late in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough. The Ravens won his 16-14 win, taking the Baltimore moneyline and spread bettors.
WHY OVERTIME
Only one major college football game was held on Saturday, the 123rd meeting of the Army and Navy.
The game was tied at 10, went into overtime, and the O/U’s unders hit in the previous 16 (!). O/U he FOX Bet and he had 33.5 points.
It took all two plays at OT to ruin an under bettor’s day.
Army’s Markelle Johnson scored on a 25-yard run on the first play to make it 17–10.
On Navy’s first play, QB Xavier Arlein completed a 25-yard TD pass to McElra Haywood to make it 17-17 and forfeit the under bettor’s ticket.
Capper? This was his Arline’s only completion in the game.
Army won 20-17 in double OT.
