The iRacing World of Outlaws Carquest Auto Parts Sprint Car Series season kicks off tonight with a trip to Pennsylvania’s iconic Williams Grove Speedway for the third round of the season. As always, the action can be seen live at 9pm ET on twitch.tv/iracing and DirtVision.
Last race: Hayden Cardwell lost the hallmark of last season when James Edens sneaked past him on the final lap at Eldora Speedway, but that won’t be repeated in the 2022-23 season. Shortly after the second and final restart of the 35-lap feature, he evaded Volusia winner Alex Bergeron to lead the last 22 circuits to cross the finish line with a 1.542 second lead.
Last season: In one of the key rounds of the 2021-22 season, Brayden Ayler took the checkered flag at Williams Grove after a hard-fought battle with Cameron Merriman. Ayler’s win was the second of his career in the series, but Merriman’s second-place finish enabled him to claim the points lead.
Track information: Opened in 1939 and in operation for over 80 years, Williams Grove Speedway is one of the nation’s premier dirt ovals and a premier event for both local racers and national tours. The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars travels to Williams Grove each fall to spend $75,000 to win one of the most expensive events in the sport, the National Open.
coming soon: The iRacing World of Outlaws Carquest Sprint Car Series will reach Round 4 of the season on Monday, December 19th at Lincoln Speedway. Released as part of iRacing’s 2023 Season 1 build, the Pennsylvania Track (a longtime staple of the World of Outlaws schedule) will host the series’ first race.
