- Michael Cohen says Donald Trump won’t apologize for not blaming Kanye West.
- The former president “doesn’t care” that his daughter’s family is Jewish, Cohen told MSNBC.
- Cohen was asked about a Rolling Stone article that said Jewish Republicans were “begging” Trump to denounce Ye.
Former President Donald Trump’s former attorney and repairman, Michael Cohen, said on Saturday that despite the fact that Ivanka Trump’s family is Jewish, Trump was formerly known as Kanye West. He said he would not apologize for not denouncing Ye’s anti-Semitism.
Cohen, who appeared on MSNBC with Alex Witt, was asked about a Rolling Stone article that said Trump’s Jewish allies were “begging” him to denounce Ye.
Rolling Stone magazine reported that after the prominent Republican Jewish activist attended a dinner party at Mar-a-Lago last month with infamous rapper Trump and white supremacist Nick Fuentes, what? It reportedly urged Trump to condemn Ye, who has spent weeks making anti-Semitic remarks.
Trump has so far refused to accuse Ye after the infamous dinner, and according to Rolling Stone, Trump advisers have told Trump to “totally deny” Ye. He said he “doesn’t care” about a draft being circulated by Jewish activists calling for and Fuentes.
The former president was also criticized by his own party after dinner, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
On MSNBC, Witt told Cohen that Trump’s failure to denounce could be a “family matter,” given that his son-in-law Jared Kushner is Jewish and his daughter Ivanka converted to Judaism. “It doesn’t work,” Witt said.
Cohen said, “He doesn’t care that Ivanka married Jared or that Ivanka converted. To care about someone else’s religion, you have to care about your own.” Donald Trump has no religious beliefs at all.”
Cohen added that it would “probably” be a problem for Trump because his grandson is Jewish.
The former fixer said he didn’t expect Trump to apologize for not denouncing anti-Semitism in Ye. “Did he apologize to David Duke in Charlottesville? No,” Cohen said. Said. “Have you ever heard Donald Trump apologize?”

In 2017, Trump initially refused to denounce Duke after the former great wizard of the Ku Klux Klan endorsed him. Trump later claimed to have disowned him days earlier.
Cohen said Trump would not apologize for not blaming Ye because “he can’t even admit he’s wrong.”
Trump has not directly criticized Ye, but has called him a “severely troubled man.”
In a post on Truth Social this weekend, Trump attacked “Jewish leaders” for their lack of loyalty to him, saying they “should be ashamed of themselves” and that they should be ashamed of Israel. He added that he had forgotten his record.
