Veteran Owned Dog Grooming and Boarding Business Coming to Hurricane, WV


Hurricane, W. Virginia (WOWK) — A state-of-the-art dog grooming and boarding facility has opened in Hurricane.

On Monday, Lucky Dog K9 and Hurricane City officials cut the ribbon for the new business at 2902 Putnam Avenue.

Lucky Dog K9 offers full service dog grooming and boarding. Daycare options are coming soon, according to Hurricane City.

According to city officials, the average boarding kennel size for a facility is 9 square feet. He also has two large kennels that are 35 square feet and he is 70 square feet and 6 feet tall. According to Hurricane City, all kennels have a triple lock system.

City officials say there are 14 indoor and outdoor security cameras to monitor dogs. Plus, each kennel room has a 65-inch TV with animal shows so dogs are “never left in the dark or in silence.”

Additionally, according to the city, Lucky Dog K9 has installed a special cleaning system in the playground so neighbors won’t have to deal with unpleasant odors.

Hurricane City officials say Lucky Dog K9 is open to all breeds, giving dogs fresh air, sunshine, play time and one-on-one time with staff for anxious puppies. i think i need to give.
