After decades of successfully developing the Porsche Design brand and leaving a significant mark on timeless design purity, Roland Heiler is retiring. Under his leadership, Studio FA Porsche has successfully implemented numerous international projects and won prestigious awards for product and industrial design. For 2021, Studio FA Porsche has been named ‘Design Team of the Year’ at the Red Dot Awards.

Passion for cars and design

Carsten Monnerjan’s last position was Head of Design at Audi subsidiary Italdesign. There, he was able to significantly build a team and explore new industrial areas for the company’s design department. Between 2008 and his 2012, he headed the Audi Design Studio in Munich as designer and manager. Together with his team, he devoted himself to transport design, product design and ‘Future Mobility Concepts’. In 1993, just after graduating from university, Monnerjan started his design career as an exterior designer for the Automotive Group before moving to Spain to work in his studio Design Center Europe for the VW Group. His design expertise has always focused on automotive-related industrial design.
