HAMILTON, Bermuda, December 8, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SiriusPoint Ltd. (“SiriusPoint” or the “Company”) (NYSE: SPNT), a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company, has announced that Rob Gibbs Appointed as president of the company’s international division. He became CEO of the business and SiriusPoint International Insurance Corporation. The CEO appointment is conditional and will become effective upon regulatory approval.

Mr. Gibbs will join the Company on December 12, 2022. Based in London, he will be responsible for driving growth, development and profitability within SiriusPoint’s international platform, which includes our European hubs in Stockholm, Zurich and Liege with our London branch. SiriusPoint also announced the promotion of Anders Hjelm to Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SiriusPoint International Insurance Corporation, effective December 12, 2022, subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Hjelm will also continue in his current role as SiriusPoint International’s Legal and Compliance Officer. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, his Hjelm has been with us since 2021. With a background in billing and underwriting, he has held various leadership positions in legal and compliance roles over the last 20 years.

Additionally, Jennifer Bowie has been appointed Interim Chief Underwriting Officer of SiriusPoint International, also effective December 12, 2022. Bowie has been Head of Outwards Reinsurance since 2021 and has been part of Sirius Group, one of the predecessor companies of SiriusPoint since 2016. Based in Sweden, she will retire from Jan Onselius, who has been Chief Underwriting Officer of SiriusPoint International since 2002 and previously she was Sirius Group.

Hjelm and Bowie report directly to Gibbs, as do Robert Harman (London branch manager and CEO SIMA), Bobby Heerasing (Active Underwriter Syndicate 1945) and Marc Wyss (Zurich branch manager).
