Business incubator startup at Hagerstown Community College develops app for first responders

A start-up at the Hagerstown Community College business incubator is developing a mobile application called Mindo. AT&T Foundation.

The grant will also support student digital internships, providing students with hands-on experience to gain employable skills as application developers and digital marketers. The announcement was made at the Washington County Legislative Assembly’s legislative breakfast in Hagerstown.

Mindo owners Dionte Kemp and Jeff Kirby describe the app as a personal comfort zone application for users to get mental health support and resources with guided tools like breathing exercises and journaling. Provides a streamlined process.

The new David W. Fletcher Incubator + Lab is located within the Business and Entrepreneurship Research Center on the university’s campus. The incubator and lab provide working space, business development, and other support to local business owners, entrepreneurs, and independent workers to inspire the next generation of enterprising communities and his leaders.
