The Dallas Cowboys had a big win on Sunday night, beating the Indianapolis Colts 54-19, but they could have suffered a pretty big loss as well.

After the game, the Cowboys’ owner and general manager told reporters the team believed cornerback Anthony Brown would end the season with a torn Achilles tendon. “I’m sick of him, and I’m sick of us,” said Jones. According to Yahoo!sports.

A sixth-round pick in 2016, Brown has started every game for Dallas this season, working as the second cornerback opposite All-Pro Trevon Diggs. Earlier in the season, the duo was joined by nickel cornerback Jordan Lewis, but Lewis suffered a Lisfranc injury in Week 7 and is out for the year.

Rookie fifth-round pick Daron Brand has joined the lineup in place of Lewis and is doing pretty well, but Dallas is now dangerously skinny in a very important position. Last year’s second-round pick, Kelvin Joseph, replaced Brown as his corner on the second perimeter on Sunday night and will likely play the role to the end. Another 2021 draft pick of his, Nation Wright, has only been in action for two games this season, but is expected to give depth going forward.

The Cowboys have a strong tier on safety with Jaron Kurth, Donovan Wilson, Malik Hooker and Israel Muqam, but none of these players are suitable to play as outside corners. The Cowboys may need to bring in another cornerback via free agency to address these depth issues. I can’t.
