The Make-A-Wish Foundation is one of those charities that inspire people to commit resources to their cause. The Michigan chapter recalls many contributions from the automotive industry. Their mission statement is:
“Wishes are not just nice things. And they are more than gifts and singular events in time. It affects everyone.”
“For Wish Kids, the act of granting a wish gives them the courage to seek treatment. Parents may become more optimistic. Through it, we may realize all that we have to offer the world.”
This is one of the reasons why it “feels good” to join an organization in achieving its goal of providing a dream come true experience for a seriously ill child.
company-wide commitment
In October, Lasco Auto Group launched Lasco Gives, a community outreach program to raise funds for Section 501(c)(3) nonprofits. All Lasco dealers participated. We accept donations from employees and customers. In addition, the dealer group added cash to the fundraiser by donating based on the department’s performance for the month. A check totaling $10,727 was presented to the Make-A-Wish local chapter in Michigan.

Make-A-Wish president Sidney Brobst visited the Lasco organization to receive donations and presented plaques to all who were proud to remember their generous contributions. shared the heartwarming story of 7-year-old Hailey. Hailey is battling kidney cancer. Her wish was for her to go to Disney World and meet the princesses. It’s donations like those from Lasco Group that make her dreams come true like Hayleys.
