Governor-elect Wes Moore, a Democrat, continued to flesh out the transition team this week, adding dozens of members to the recently established policy committee.
Moore’s campaign recently created nine policy committees, each with two or three chairs. The transition team is now adding several members to the policy panel roster. Each list contains a combination of policy experts, advocates, elected officials, and campaign donors, but these categories are not mutually exclusive.
“This is a team that looks like Maryland,” Moore said in a statement. “I am extremely proud to have built the most comprehensive governor transition team in the history of Maryland. We are taking bold action that will benefit generations of Marylanders.”
Lieutenant Governor Arna Miller, a Democrat, who will lead the transition effort for the incoming administration, said the transition will include majority and minority representation across the Policy Committee, cross-generational representation, members from all parts of Maryland, and all. said to include women leading the policy panel.
