ERIC KIM Appointed Current Executive Vice President of Programs at CBS Entertainment and CBS Studios

Eric Kim was named executive vice president of the current program. It was announced today by CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios President David Stupf. In his new role, Kim will oversee the network’s and studio’s current primetime and daytime programming. He succeeds Mr. Reisenbach, who was recently promoted.

Kim joined CBS in 2011. For the past 11 years, he has directed all stages of the production of both his comedy and drama his series such as BLUE BLOODS, FBI: MOST WANTED, FBI: INTERNATIONAL and CSI. Before he joined the network, from 2009 until 2011 he worked on the live-action series Nickelodeon and Teen He Nick. He also served as the current Vice President of Programming at The CW from 2006 until 2009 when he launched the new network Creative He was part of the team when the WB and UPN networks merged. . From 2004 until 2006, he also served as an executive at UPN.

Kim began his career in the entertainment industry working for director Jonathan Demme on the Academy Award-winning film Philadelphia. Once the film was completed, he followed Demi to a production company in New York.

Mr. Kim graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in English Literature. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Color Entertainment, a non-profit organization made up of diverse executives from the media industry. He also serves on the board of the non-profit Korean American Leadership In He Hollywood (KALH). He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE).
