Puttur, November 30: An auto-rickshaw driver died on the spot at Bollaru, 34 Nekkiladi village, Uppinangadi, on Tuesday night, November 29.
The deceased has been identified as Vasu Poojary, 54, son of the late Anni Poojary of Subhash Nagar, 34 Nekkiladi.
As Vasu Pujari was on his way to Uppinangadi, a BC Road ATM cash-dispensing vehicle collided head-on with the vehicle Vasu Pujari was driving.

Vasu Poojary worked for a soft drink company in Uppinangady and came from a middle-class family background. He used to drive his autorickshaw in his spare time.
He lived in Subhasnagar. His daughter married while one of his sons dropped out of school and another of his sons was in school. He was the family’s sole breadwinner. He has a wife, daughter and two sons.
