The Dallas Cowboys improved to 6-2 on the season after beating the Chicago Bears 49-29 on Sunday.
Dak Prescott completed 77.8% of his passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and added one rushing score. Third-year running back Tony Pollard started in place of the injured Ezekiel Elliott and had 131 rushing yards and three touchdowns. His three of his six wins for Dallas were in his double figures.
The Cowboys allow just 16.6 points per game. This is his fewest since 2003 in his eight games. They currently have him second in the NFC East behind the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles (7-0).
But how big a threat is the Cowboys to winning the NFC and making the playoffs?
Pretty scary stuff if you ask Skip Bayless.
On Monday, the “uncontroversial” host explained why he believes the Cowboys will run in the postseason.
“I’m going to give the team a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 as to how I see the chances of this team reaching the first NFC Championship Game in 27 years,” Bayless said. I love the makings of what we can do in the NFC that feels like I’m begging to be won.Everyone I feared[before the season]is now nobody.”

Skip Bayless explains why Dallas is a big threat to the Super Bowl.
Dallas finished with 442 total offensive yards to the Bears’ 371 yards — despite having about 12 minutes less time with the ball than Chicago — 9-11 on third down and 4 in the red zone. It was 4 vs.
Shannon Sharp praised the Cowboys for their explosive performance, but wasn’t convinced they would make it to the Super Bowl. This gave Dallas a 7 in 10 chance of making the playoffs.
“The Cowboys were sensational yesterday,” Sharp said. “The Cowboys have to feel really good about where they are offensively. [The Cowboys are] I play very well, but for some reason I can’t stop running. … I think [the Cowboys] They are currently the third best team in the NFC (behind the Eagles and San Francisco 49ers). ”
In fact, stopping Sunday running was not a priority. Dallas gave up his 240 yards on the ground to the Bears, and this season the Cowboys gave him 135.1 yards per game, his ninth-most in the NFL.
Dallas is off in Week 9, heading to Lambeau Field in Week 10 (4:25 PM ET, FOX) and heading to Green Bay.
