Please note that depending on when you are reading this, this waiver column may be updated at some point during the day on Tuesday. That’s because 4 p.m. ET Tuesday is the NFL’s trade deadline, and potential trades could affect Waiver’s wire movement. This is reflected here.
No big offensive deals are going to happen, but if anything happens before you file your waiver claim on Tuesday night, know that we have you covered. In theory, I hope Tuesday is a crazy day for the NFL trade market.
In terms of injuries in Week 8, I was relatively lucky. Cooper Cup (ankle) appears to have escaped serious injury. Mark Andrews (shoulders) is a potential spot for Week 9 and we hope Gus Edwards (hamstrings) can play as well. Injured in Week 8 and likely to miss Week 9 at least as of Monday are Rashod Bateman (foot), Devante Parker (knee), Mark Ingram (knee) and Irv Smith ( ankle) only.
Six teams – Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Giants, Pittsburgh and San Francisco – will be bye-bye in Week 9, so many fantasy managers could miss out on a few stars. He should be a week active on waverwire as many people are looking to replace keys.
Editor’s Note: This Waiver Wire column only looks at players enrolled in less than 65% of the CBS Sports League.

Week 9 Waiver
- good bye: Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, Daniel Jones, Jimmy Garoppolo, Kenny Pickett, Jacoby Brissett
- Injuries: Ryan Tannehill (ankle), Matt Ryan (shoulder), Carson Wentz (fingers), Sam Darnold (ankle)
- Check availability: Jared Goff (84% roster). Goff was a bit unlucky with just 19 fantasy points against Miami in Week 8, as he passed for 321 yards and one touchdown. His best football of the season has come at home (28.0 fantasy his points per game), winning over the Packers in Detroit in Week 9. Low-end starter in deeper leagues.
- Drop candidate: Daniel Jones (90%), Matthew Stafford (83%), Russell Wilson (70%), Jimmy Garoppolo (69%). Jones, Wilson, and Garoppolo aren’t worth keeping hidden for goodbye. Jones delivered a major disappointment in Week 8 in Seattle with just 9 fantasy points, and he has 20 plus points this season with just two games. Wilson has one game this season with more than 19 fantasy points. Garoppolo may be worth hiding in a deeper league with at least 20 fantasy points in his four-game streak, but he still hasn’t topped his 22 points in a year. Unless he was a starter all season, you can drop him now and bring him back in week 10 if you want. … Stafford has his one game this season in Week 2 where he scored 19 or more fantasy points. Cooper It’s hard to trust him in Tampa Bay in Week 9, especially when his cup (ankle) is less than 100% of his.

running backs
- good bye: Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Melvin Gordon, Latavius Murray, Squon Barkley, Nagy Harris, Christian McCaffrey
- Injuries: Ezekiel Elliott (knee), Gus Edwards (hamstring), James Connor (rib), Chuva Hubbard (ankle), JK Dobbins (knee), Cordarrelle Patterson (knee), Cam Akers (individual), Elijah Mitchell (knee), Joshua Kelly (knee), Killen Williams (ankle), Mark Ingram (knee), Damien Williams (rib)
- Check availability. Chuba Hubbard (71% roster) and Isiah Pacheco (68%). If Hubbard plays in Week 9 for the Bengals, Hubbard should be his second-running back behind Donta Foreman. However, given the expected role in the passing game, Hubbard may prove to be more valuable than Foreman. In the first game without Christian McCaffrey in Week 7 against Tampa Bay, Hubbard had 11 total touches (two catches on three targets) for a total of 73 yards and a touchdown before breaking his ankle. hurt. He should be registered in all leagues. … Pacheco started for the Chiefs in San Francisco in Week 7, ahead of Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Pacheco had 43 yards against the 49ers and he only had 8 carries, Edwards he had Eller and Jerrick McKinnon still had a lot of work to do. But with the goodbye over, I hope Pacheco is on his way to a bigger role.
- Drop candidate: Damian Harris (91%), JK Dobbins (66%), Jeff Wilson (63%). In a shallow PPR league, it may be time to move on from Harris, who is clearly behind Patriots’ Lamondre Stevenson so far. In his two games after missing Week 6 with a sprained ankle, Harris totaled 14 carries for 45 yards, no touchdowns, and four targets with 3 catches for 17 yards for him. . Instead of starting Harris in Week 9 against the Colts, the Patriots will say goodbye in Week 10. …if you have an IR spot, Dobbins deserves to be hidden, but don’t leave him on the bench. He’s ineligible to play until Week 12 at the earliest, and the Ravens are wary of him and may keep him around longer than that to ensure a 100% chance of a playoff. If you want to keep Wilson hidden in the hope that it’s McCaffrey’s handcuffs, that’s fine, but remember that Elijah Mitchell (knee) may be back after the San Francisco breakup in Week 9. Hold on. While McCaffrey is healthy, Wilson has a limited role, so he could drop to No. 3 on the depth charts when Mitchell returns.

wide receiver
- good bye: Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Sheedy Lamb, Michael Gallup, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Judy, Wandale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Dionte Johnson, George Pickens, Chase Claypool, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Ayuk
- Injuries: Cooper Cup (ankle), Jamar Chase (hip), Deebo Samuel (hamstring), Keenan Allen (hamstring), Adam Thielen (knee), Mike Williams (ankle), Allen Lazard (shoulder) , Marquise Brown (foot), Michael Thomas (foot), Rashod Bateman (foot), Devante Parker (knee), Corey Davis (knee), Jahan Dotson (hamstring), Nico Collins (groin) D), Russell Gage (hamstring), Jarvis Landry (ankle), Trelon Burks (toe), Christian Watson (concussion), Randall Cobb (ankle), DJ Chark (ankle), Kenny Goladay (knee) ), Josh Palmer (concussion), Noah Brown (foot)
- Check availability. Allen Robinson (75% of the roster) and Garrett Wilson (74%). If Cooper’s cup (ankle) is unplayable in Week 9, Robinson deserves to use his No. 3 fantasy as his receiver in all leagues. He was a disaster all season with just two touchdowns and no game where he recorded his yards receiving over 63 yards, but if Kupp was out, his goal would be to the Buccaneers. will rise sharply against …In the first game without Breath Hall (ACL), the Jets were forced to face New his England in Week 8, with Zack his Wilson replacing Joe his Flacco in Week 4. Wilson had the most targets (seven) since . Wilson he finished with 6. He had 115 he caught yards and Corey Davis (knee) was also out. The Jets could throw more pitches without holes, and Wilson looks like a big beneficiary.
- Drop candidate: Rashod Bateman (85%), Drake London (81%), Curtis Samuel (76%), Hunter Renfro (68%), Marquis Goodwin (62%). Bateman is set to miss “several weeks” with a foot injury, according to coach John Harbaugh, and there’s no reason to keep him hidden now, especially since Baltimore will be bye in Week 10. Falcons run first Considering the offense is a fantasy manager factor, he’s now scored 7 PPR points or less in five straight games. …Samuel may be worth keeping in his PPR league, but he hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 2, and in six straight games he’s received 62 less than his yards. In non-PPR leagues, it’s easy to move on from Samuel as a stash candidate. …DavanteHe even in a game where Adams struggled and Darren Waller (Hamstring) was sidelined in New Orleans in Week 8, Renfro had two targets and he recorded his 1 catch for 6 yards. and was still not a factor. He has now scored his 8 PPR points or less in 4 of his 5 games this year, and his best this season is his 10 PPR points. … said last week that they would add Goodwin as DK Metcalf could be sidelined with a knee injury. However, Metcalfe was able to play against the Giants in Week 8, and Goodwin only managed four catches for 33 yards on five targets. Only related to fantasy.

- good bye: David Njoku, Harrison Bryant, Dalton Schultz, Greg Dulcich, Pat Freiermuth, George Kittle
- Notable Injuries: Mark Andrews (shoulders), Darren Waller (hamstrings), Irv Smith (ankles), David Nyok (ankles), Daniel Bellinger (eyes), Cameron Blate (neck)
- Check availability. Dalton Schultz (78% on the roster) and Gerald Everett (74%). Expect Schultz to open a corner in his best game since Week 8 against Chicago and Week 1 against the Bears where he had seven targets and six catches for 74 yards. increase. Dak Prescott looks like he’s back to his old self after missing five games with a thumb injury. Schultz also looks healthy after battling a knee injury starting in Week 2. After Cowboys Bye, he should be 100% and Schultz is on top.- 5 advantages when he and Prescott are healthy. A potential No. 1 or 2 target for Herbert, Keenan Allen (hamstring) also missed practice Monday after the Chargers parted ways in Week 8. Should continue to be a favorite target for Herbert, who has these injuries to his receiver. Everett has scored at least 11 PPR points in four of his seven games this year, and he has scored at least six targets in all but one of his games in that period.
- Drop candidate: Irv Smith (74% of the roster) and David Njoku (68%). Smith isn’t scheduled to play in Week 9 in Washington and is thought to be a weekly after injuring his ankle in Week 8 against the Cardinals. While out with injury, he wasn’t productive enough to make it onto the roster. … Njoku said bye in Week 9 and may not return to action in Week 10 after suffering an ankle injury in Week 7. In deeper leagues, you should keep him, but it can be hard to justify keeping him hidden if you need to. Add another tight end or help out in another position. Joku had a breakout season before his injury, so hopefully he’ll be back to 100% sooner or later.
