1 Star – Jake Hewitt (F) – Nanaimo Clippers
Hewitt scored six goals in two games last week to have one goal and five assists, leading the league in three points per game.
On Friday night, in a battle between the top two teams in the Coastal Conference, Hewitt had a four-point night in Nanaimo’s 5-2 victory over the Surrey Eagles. 2nd Star – Bradly Nadeau (F) – Penticton Vees
Nadeau tied with the other two on points last week, scoring seven goals in three games and scoring the winning goal in two.
On Wednesday, Nadeau made a comeback against the Cranbrook Bucks by assisting on Bee’s second goal to cut the Bucks’ lead to 3-2 and ultimately clinch the winner in overtime in a 4-3 win. It sparked the victory of His two-point night earned him First Star honors.
On Friday, Penticton was in West Kelowna to date the No. 2 Warriors. Nadeau led the team with an assist on the first power play goal and scored the eventual game winner with man-advantage early in the third, adding a second helper later in the period. He finished with 3 points and was again named the first star of the game in a 4–1 win.
The 2023 NHL Draft prospects capped off the week with yet another multi-point performance in Saturday night’s 9-3 victory over the Trail Smoke Eaters with a goal and assist from Veese.
The 17-year-old Nadeau currently leads the BCHL with 31 goals in 14 games. His 13 goals are the most in the league, and his 18 assists tie for the top spot.
Nadeau has scored points in all 14 games this year and has failed to score multiple points only twice.
3 Stars – Josh Nadeau (F) – Penticton Vise
Like his brother, Josh Nador scored the most goals with 4, tying 7 for the league lead last week.
On Wednesday night against the Cranbrook Bucks, Nadeau pulled the Bees within one in the second period and eventually assisted the game winner in overtime to score two points in a 4-3 win. did.
