According to the arrest affidavit, Thaddeus Donnell Richardson Jr., 26, was arrested in Nacogdoches County when he slipped his handcuffs forward and out of his seatbelt inside a DPS trooper.
Affidavits from the Texas DPS, Nacogdoches Police Department and the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office describe a series of crimes allegedly committed Friday.

Richardson was then arrested for driving without a license and transferred to the Nacogdoches Police Department to answer questions before being returned to DPS trooper custody. He was then transferred to the booked Nacogdoches County Jail around 11:50 p.m., according to the NCSO. He faces seven felony counts, including unauthorized use of a vehicle, burglary of a residence, and escape during arrest.
