LEADERSHIP Snohomish County Announces Keynote Speakers and Award Nominees for October 21 Celebration of County Leadership and Organizations

LEADERSHIP Snohomish County (LSC) Announces Winners and Keynote Speakers for 7th Annual Leadership Day Breakfast on Friday, October 21st at 7:30am at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett Did.

LEADERSHIP Snohomish County Leadership Day began in 2016 with 23 official proclamations made by community partners. Leadership Day, a community-involved breakfast, celebrates outstanding leaders in the region who are pushing Snohomish County forward in inspiring and actionable ways, the organization said in a press release.

Leadership Snohomish County’s declared mission is to connect, inspire, and develop county-specific sustainable leaders to strengthen communities.

LSC recently announced the nominees for the 2022 Deborah Knutson Women in Leadership Award. This award promotes women in leadership roles throughout the county who share her Knutson’s passion for growing her jobs and developing the economy.

This year’s nominees are: Jodi Marsall (Jodi of All Trades), Tania Siler (Northwest Washington’s Evergreen Goodwill), Wendy Poischbeg (Snohomish County Economic Union), Dana Montanari (PCC Community Markets), Carrie Morehouse (Work Opportunities), Amy King (Palette) and Dr. Julieta Altamirano Crosby (Lynnwood City Council). Winners of the Deborah Knutson Women in Leadership Award will be announced at the ceremony along with LSC’s Community Partner Award and LSC Distinguished Alumni Award.

Olympia Edwards, founder and director of the Project Girl Mentoring Program, is a keynote speaker for Leadership Day 2022. Edwards set out to create a curriculum-based mentoring program that allows a young woman to learn to love her skin tone and focus on her confidence/self. She respects and grows into a woman.

LSC’s Leadership Day Awards breakfast will also include this year’s ‘Best of’ basket raffle. In this raffle, his eight cities within Snohomish County will be showcased with baskets filled with items and gift certificates from local businesses. At the event, the basket will be won by lottery.
