Jennifer Chirico joins Tech as Vice President of Sustainability.
On October 17th, Jennifer Chirico will join Infrastructure and Sustainability (I&S) as Vice President of Sustainability. Originally from Atlanta, Kiriko brings her 20 years of experience in sustainability to the Institute. She has her Ph.D. She holds a PhD in Public Policy with a major in Environmental Policy, a Master of Public Health with a major in Environmental Health, and a Bachelor of Business Administration, all from Georgia Tech.
“I am delighted to be back at my alma mater, Georgia Tech, to share my experience and expertise in sustainability. “I am committed to becoming a world-class sustainability institute known for progress and innovation in student programs, clean energy, net zero initiatives, zero waste, and climate justice.” We want to act as a connector and a bridge to lead the university to this end.”
In this first role, Chirico will lead the implementation of the Institute’s Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan, as well as help guide Georgia Tech’s sustainability future.
