
The Pasadena Design Commission will hold a special meeting on Tuesday to consider a proposal by the Rusnak Group luxury car dealership company to replace the current Volvo dealership in downtown Pasadena with two complexes.
One of the buildings is a three- and four-story 91,864-square-foot mixed-use building at 1999 E. Colorado Blvd. There is ground parking space. The two project sites are located north of E. Colorado Blvd. and separated by N. San Marino Ave.
Plans filed with the Department of Planning and Community Development show the proposed building to be east of N. San Marino Avenue. There are currently four buildings on site: a 14,418 sq ft sales building, a 922 sq ft storage building, a 7,417 sq ft – Rusnak Volvo Dealership foot service building and a 7,267 sq ft commercial building to the east of the service building.
