Country music in full force at the I-105 Fallfest [photos] | Entertainment

Jimmie Allen made history Sunday afternoon when he became the first Black headliner in I-105 Fallfest Country Music Festival’s 30-year history.

Allen, known for hits like “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To,” performed to a crowd of country fans at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Berks County. (Previously, the event was held in Lancaster County at Long’s Park and Overlook Community Campus.)

Ephrata-based country music station I-105 WIOV hosts the popular annual festival. Other performers on Sunday were Michael Ray, Maddie & Tae and Jackson Dean. The opening acts were singer Hannah Ellis, from Kentucky, and New Holland band Bobby Law & the Late Show, who won WIOV’s Showdown in the Park contest held in New Holland Community Park on June 24.
