The Army Association Annual Meeting will be held October 10-12 and will discuss a wide range of topics related to professional development, recruitment, military modernization, and people.
Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis, Commander, U.S. Army Recruitment Command, and Command Sergeant. USAREC’s Maj. Gen. John Foley hosted a discussion in his Warriors corner, “Reconnecting America and the Army,” on how the Army can bridge the divide between America and the military and restore public confidence. Emphasize what you are working on.
The discussion will cover the Army’s efforts to get back to grassroots recruitment as it adjusts its recruitment methods post-pandemic. This includes direct interaction with high schools, technical schools, colleges, universities and other local communities.
Davis and Foley will also discuss how TRADOC is working with Veterans Services organizations to mobilize the Army by hiring civilian aides to the Secretary of War and the Army Reserve Ambassador.
America’s businesses, first responders, and military service compete for talent in a highly competitive job market, but the Army has a “must win” mandate.
New recruitment initiatives, such as Future Soldier Preparation Courses, are at the forefront as the Army competes for talent in America. This is a new program that invests through new routes to services that help America’s youth overcome academic and physical disabilities. Barrier to serve.
The Army is also leveraging veteran support to inspire younger generations of service and working with Partnering for Your Success and Soldier for Life teams to increase career and leadership development opportunities.
These organizations connect America and the Army through public-private partnerships and help provide opportunities for soldiers retiring from active duty. Soldiers represent the Army as citizens and share their stories with civilians. Industry gives them a solid career foundation for life after active duty.
The event will be held on Monday, October 10 from 12:50-1:30 PM in Hall D of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Discussions will also be streamed live on the TRADOC Facebook page and DVIDS.
AUSA will feature other affiliation mission-focused events, including the Modern Military Forum, “War for Talent: Recruitment, Retention, and Opportunity,” on Wednesday, October 12 at 1:30 p.m. increase.
