Florida State added commitment from one of the most talented skill players in the country as four-star wide receiver Haikeem Williams, a senior at Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Williams is his five-star prospect at the borderline in the 2023 class, choosing Florida over Texas A&M, Miami, Alabama, Pitt and Georgia.

Williams is a breakthrough addition for Mike Norvell, and his commitment has pushed Florida State University into the top 15 class. He is by far the top recruit in the Seminoles class and joins his three-star wideouts of Darren Lawrence and Vandrebius Jacobs.

At 6’3″ and weighing 200 pounds, Williams is arguably one of high school football’s top receiving recruits. Senior ranks as the fifth-best receiver, with him ranked 26th in the Top247 rankings. 247Sports Composite’s ranking also lists Williams as his five-star prospect. If Williams holds onto the rankings, he will soon earn one of his 32 five-star ratings handed out by 247Sports raters.

Andrew Ivins, a recruiting analyst for 247Sports Southeast, described Williams as a “freaky athlete” in August’s second-day draft evaluation.

“He has a fat, muscular physique and looks almost like a tight end or streetwear linebacker,” Ivins wrote. Coordinated all around…he’s very competitive after the catch, taking quick screens and swing passes and turning them into monster gains.”

Williams caught 40 passes for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2021 for Stranahan while playing both receiver and edge rusher.
