A thief takes off on a skateboard from a Springfield business.

Springfield, Missouri (KY3) –

Greene County detectives are investigating a case of shoplifting between a man and a woman. The theft occurred on August 12 at Mike’s Unique Antique Mall in his 3300 block in West Sunshine.A security video shows a man and a woman entering the store around 5 p.m.

Investigators describe their vehicle as a black or dark blue Chevrolet Cruze that may have a temporary paper tag on the back. Employees say the couple broke up once inside the store. After about 30 minutes, the man started running with his longboard.

Greene County Deputy Paige Lippy estimates the value of a longboard at $60 to $500, depending on the type. The employee also told investigators that the woman stole a red and black drawstring backpack.
