After a national survey, Gino Z. Galutera was named Vice President for Business Services at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. His appointment shall take effect immediately.
Business Services consists of three main units that direct the various programs that serve the University’s students, faculty, staff, visitors, alumni, and guests. These programs include, but are not limited to, Campus Dining, UNCW Bookstore, Parking, Transportation, One Card Office, Seahawk Mail, Printing Services, Passport Services and Sustainability Office.
“Mr. Galtera’s experience in effectively managing contract services and implementing process/technology-based improvements will enable Business Services to continue to improve and build on the critical services we offer today.”
Galtera previously served as Director of Auxiliary Services for UNCW. He joined his UNCW from Brandeis University where he was Managing Director of Auxiliary Services. Prior to that, he was an Associate of Auxiliary Services at The Citadel, where he was Director of One Card Services.
Galtera has a proven track record of directly planning and implementing quality service improvements across a range of ancillary functions including on-campus dining, bookstore operations, beverage/vending services and OneCard operations. In addition, Galtera has experience in the private sector, having served as Corporate Marketing Manager for Sticky Fingers Restaurant Group.
Galutera holds an MBA from The Citadel and a BA/BA in Spanish/Biology from Furman University.
